Safer sedation for Kids' MRIs: new study tests drug combinations

NCT ID NCT07369128

Summary

This study aims to find the best sedation approach for children aged 1-12 who need MRI scans. Researchers will test different doses of two sedative drugs (propofol and dexmedetomidine) to see which combinations provide safe, effective sedation with the quickest recovery times. The goal is to minimize medication exposure while ensuring children remain still during their scans and wake up comfortably afterward.
