New scan could reveal kidney tumor danger without surgery

NCT ID NCT04258462

Summary

This study is testing a new type of MRI scan to see if it can help doctors figure out how dangerous a kidney tumor is without needing surgery first. Participants with a kidney tumor receive an injection of a non-radioactive substance and then have an MRI scan. The goal is to see if this scan can accurately tell if a tumor is benign or cancerous, and if it's cancer, how aggressive it is, to help guide future treatment decisions.
