New scan could predict hidden damage in diabetics
NCT ID NCT04114682
Summary
This study is testing a new type of MRI scan to see if it can better identify which people with type 2 diabetes are most at risk for developing complications in their heart, liver, and kidneys. Researchers will follow 135 adults with type 2 diabetes for up to 5 years, comparing their MRI results to standard blood tests. The goal is to gather knowledge to help doctors personalize future care, not to test a new treatment.
