First seen Jan 30, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study looks at whether special MRI scans can predict who will develop atrial fibrillation (an irregular heartbeat) after heart bypass surgery. About 100 adults scheduled for bypass will get an MRI and a small heart monitor before surgery, then be followed for a year. The goal is to find early warning signs so doctors can better prevent complications.
