New brain scan aims to guide surgeons away from critical nerves
NCT ID NCT02978911
Summary
This study is testing whether a special type of MRI scan can create a detailed map of the nerves around a skull base tumor. The goal is to see if this map accurately predicts where the nerves are located during surgery, helping surgeons avoid damaging them. The study involves 120 adults with skull base tumors who are scheduled for surgery.
