AI scans liver tumors to forecast survival

NCT ID NCT07479264

First seen Mar 28, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study looked at 169 people with a rare liver cancer called intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma. Researchers used MRI scans and computer models to measure scar tissue and a specific protein in the tumors. They then checked if these features could predict how long patients lived or if their cancer came back after surgery. The goal was to better understand the disease, not to test a new treatment.
