New lung scan could reveal if treatments are working

NCT ID NCT04071769

Summary

This study is testing whether a special type of MRI scan, which uses inhaled xenon gas, can help doctors see how well the lungs are working in people with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF). Researchers want to see if this scan can detect changes in lung function over time as patients take their standard IPF medications. Participants will get the scan before starting treatment and again at 3, 6, and 12 months to track any changes.
