Mayo clinic develops High-Tech scan to see chronic pain

NCT ID NCT05604066

Summary

This study is testing a new type of MRI scan called MR Elastography to see if it can better identify and measure myofascial pain. Researchers will compare scans from 106 people with chronic low back or leg pain to scans from healthy volunteers. The goal is to create a more objective way to diagnose this common pain condition by measuring how stiff and mobile the connective tissues are.
