MRI tech aims to sharpen cancer radiation targeting
NCT ID NCT03634267
Summary
This study is testing whether using MRI scans to guide the placement of internal radiation therapy can improve treatment for women with certain stages of cervical or vaginal cancer linked to HPV. The goal is to see if this method helps deliver radiation more precisely to the tumor while better protecting healthy tissue. Researchers will also look at costs and check if special MRI images can help identify remaining cancer cells after initial treatment.
