Five sessions instead of weeks: new prostate cancer radiation trial

NCT ID NCT04845503

Summary

This study is testing whether a much shorter radiation treatment for prostate cancer—just 5 sessions instead of the usual 7-8 weeks—is safe and effective. It uses MRI guidance to precisely target the tumor while aiming to protect surrounding healthy tissue. The main goal is to see if this faster approach causes acceptable side effects and successfully controls the cancer.
