MRI scans may spare breast cancer patients from harsh chemo

NCT ID NCT07327021

Summary

This study aims to see if MRI scans can identify which patients with aggressive triple-negative breast cancer can safely skip part of their chemotherapy. All participants start with 12 weeks of chemotherapy plus immunotherapy, then get an MRI scan. Those with a complete response on MRI go straight to surgery, avoiding additional harsh chemotherapy drugs. The goal is to maintain cancer control while reducing treatment side effects for those who respond well early.
