Better scans could prevent unnecessary prostate cancer treatment

NCT ID NCT03648359

Summary

This study is testing whether a special type of MRI scan can help doctors better decide which men with low-risk prostate cancer can safely be monitored instead of treated right away. It involves 200 men already enrolled in a monitoring program. The goal is to see if the MRI can spot more aggressive cancer that was missed by standard tests, ensuring patients get the right level of care.
