Advanced scans aim to replace risky biopsies for kidney tumors

NCT ID NCT06126159

Summary

This study is testing whether a special type of MRI scan can accurately identify what kind of tumor is growing in a patient's kidney. Researchers will scan patients whose standard CT scans did not show fat in their kidney mass, which makes the diagnosis unclear. The goal is to see if the MRI results match what is found in a tumor biopsy, potentially helping doctors choose the right treatment without needing an invasive procedure.
