High-Tech scans aim to spot failing kidney transplants sooner

NCT ID NCT03192007

Summary

This study is testing whether advanced MRI scans can be used to monitor the health of transplanted kidneys. Researchers will scan 140 kidney transplant patients to see if MRI images can detect signs of organ rejection or other problems that cause kidney function to decline. The goal is to develop a better, non-invasive way to check on transplant health and see how it changes before and after treatment.
