New scan aims to replace liver biopsies for fatty liver disease
NCT ID NCT07149571
Summary
This study is testing whether a new type of MRI scan can accurately assess fatty liver disease without needing a painful liver biopsy. Researchers will enroll 500 patients to see if the scan's measurements match the results from biopsies, which is the current best test. The goal is to create a better, non-invasive way to diagnose the disease, see how severe it is, and predict a patient's future health risks.
