Sleeping baby scans could revolutionize early cerebral palsy diagnosis

Summary

This study aims to improve early diagnosis of cerebral palsy by scanning babies' brains during natural sleep. Researchers will follow 200 infants, some at risk for cerebral palsy and some developing typically, from 3 months to 2 years old. They will use advanced MRI techniques to create detailed brain maps, hoping to identify early signs of brain changes that could predict future motor problems.
