Can an MRI scan tell us more about early breast cancer?

NCT ID NCT03495011

Summary

This study is testing whether a special type of MRI scan can provide more detailed information about a very early form of breast cancer called DCIS, which is often first seen as tiny white spots (calcifications) on a mammogram. Researchers are enrolling 122 women who have these suspicious spots to see if the MRI pictures can tell them about the cancer's activity and potential risk. The goal is to learn if MRI can help doctors better understand which cases need more aggressive treatment and which might be lower risk.
