Brain scan may reveal future of your eyesight
NCT ID NCT04448938
Summary
This study aims to see if a special type of MRI brain scan, taken while a person is resting, can predict how well someone's vision will recover after an episode of optic neuritis. Researchers will compare brain scans from 200 adults with suspected optic neuritis to scans from a control group. The goal is to find a brain signal that forecasts recovery, which could help doctors provide better information to patients about their outlook.
