Can scans and blood tests warn of Radiation's hidden cost to the mind?

NCT ID NCT05087888

Summary

This study aims to find out if repeated MRI brain scans and blood tests can predict changes in memory and thinking skills that sometimes happen after radiation treatment for brain tumors. Researchers will follow 9 adult patients receiving brain radiation, tracking their scans, blood markers, and cognitive test results over two years. The goal is to identify early warning signs that could one day help doctors personalize treatment to better protect brain function.
