New MRI scans could predict MS disability years before it happens
NCT ID NCT05491031
First seen May 10, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026
Summary
This study is looking for better ways to predict when multiple sclerosis (MS) will get worse, especially the switch from relapsing-remitting MS to a more progressive form. Researchers will use powerful MRI scans to measure brain chemicals and tissue changes in 50 adults with MS. The goal is to find early warning signs of disability, which could help doctors treat the disease sooner.
