AI may replace some breast cancer biopsies, study hopes
NCT ID NCT07389200
Summary
This study aims to develop an artificial intelligence (AI) tool that analyzes standard breast MRI scans to predict a cancer's specific type, particularly its HER2 status. The goal is to provide this information non-invasively, potentially reducing the need for some pre-surgery biopsies. Researchers will enroll 400 people with confirmed breast cancer who had an MRI before any treatment.
