New heart implant aims to stop leaky valve symptoms

NCT ID NCT07517588

First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This early study tests a device called the MRace implant to treat moderate-to-severe mitral regurgitation, a condition where the heart valve leaks. About 15 people will get the implant and be followed for up to 5 years to see if it safely reduces the leak and improves symptoms. The goal is to control the disease, not cure it, as the implant manages the valve problem long-term.
