New MRI-Guided radiation aims to zap liver tumors with fewer side effects
NCT ID NCT05027711
First seen Mar 11, 2026 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study compares a new type of radiation therapy (MR-guided adaptive SBRT) to standard radiation for people with up to 3 liver tumors that started elsewhere in the body. The new approach uses daily MRI scans to precisely target tumors while avoiding nearby organs. About 90 adults will participate to see if this method causes fewer serious side effects and improves quality of life.
