First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study will check if two routine blood test values (mean platelet volume and platelet distribution width) can serve as early warning signs for deep vein thrombosis in 100 adults who are on breathing machines in the ICU. Participants will be monitored with Doppler ultrasound to confirm any clots. The goal is to see if these simple markers can help doctors detect and manage clots sooner.
