New combo pill aims to tame type 2 diabetes

Summary
This study tested four different doses of an experimental drug called MP-513 in 448 adults with type 2 diabetes who were already taking metformin. The goal was to see if adding MP-513 safely improves blood sugar control over 24 weeks, with an optional extension up to 52 weeks. Participants had moderately high blood sugar and were otherwise healthy enough to join. The results help determine the best dose for future studies.
