Ancient heat therapy tested for allergy relief
NCT ID NCT07537439
First seen May 09, 2026 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding moxibustion—a traditional heat therapy—to standard allergy medicine can safely reduce symptoms like sneezing, stuffiness, and runny nose in people with allergic rhinitis. About 60 adults with a cold-type allergy will receive either standard care alone or standard care plus moxibustion. The goal is to see if this low-cost, low-risk approach can improve symptom control and quality of life.
