NCT ID NCT07521878
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether a new program that adds more physical activity and active play into Danish kindergartens is practical and well-liked by staff. Researchers will work with teachers and leaders to design and test the program over 10 weeks. The goal is to see if the program can be easily used in real kindergartens before testing if it actually improves children's movement and well-being.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
behavioural intervention: a kindergarten program that adds more physical activity and active play into daily routines
What this could lead to
If successful, this could lead to a larger study that shows how to easily increase physical activity and well-being in young children.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early feasibility study with only 100 participants. It tests whether the program can be implemented, not whether it improves health outcomes.
