Blackberry mouthwash takes on chlorhexidine in gum disease battle
NCT ID NCT07540624
First seen Apr 29, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study tests whether a blackberry mouthwash works as well as a standard medicated mouthwash (chlorhexidine) for treating gum disease. About 48 adults with periodontitis will receive a deep dental cleaning and then use either no mouthwash, chlorhexidine, or blackberry mouthwash. Researchers will check gum health, inflammation, and bacteria levels over 3 months to see which approach works best.
