First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study tested four different mouthwashes (hydrogen peroxide with hyaluronic acid, hyaluronic acid alone, chlorhexidine, and a placebo) in 80 healthy adults aged 18-35 with mild gum disease (gingivitis). Participants rinsed twice daily for three weeks. The goal was to see which mouthwash best reduced gum inflammation, plaque, and bleeding. The results could help people choose an effective mouthwash to prevent gum disease from getting worse.
