New mouthwash promises quicker healing after tooth extraction
NCT ID NCT07580599
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tested three mouthwashes—a new bone bioactive liquid (BBL), a standard antiseptic (chlorhexidine), and plain salt water—to see which helps gums heal best in the week after a tooth is removed. 51 healthy adults who needed a tooth pulled took part. The main goal was to measure how much the wound shrank by day 7 using 3D scans. The results will show if the new mouthwash speeds up healing compared to the others.
