Could your mouthwash help stop COVID spread?

NCT ID NCT04931004

Summary

This early study tested if using common, store-bought mouthwashes could lower the amount of COVID-19 virus people breathe out. Researchers enrolled 34 adults who recently tested positive for COVID-19. They measured the virus in breath samples collected through a special face mask before and after participants rinsed with different mouthwashes or water.
