Can a simple mouthguard quiet ringing ears?
NCT ID NCT07211711
Summary
This study is testing if a custom-made dental mouthguard can help reduce tinnitus (ringing in the ears) that is linked to jaw joint problems. Researchers will compare the real mouthguard to a placebo version in 63 adults who have had both conditions for over six months. The main goal is to see if treating the jaw problem eases the tinnitus symptoms and improves quality of life.
