Simple mouth tape may quiet snoring and improve sleep

NCT ID NCT06587256

First seen Jan 04, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether wearing adhesive tape over the mouth at night can reduce snoring and improve sleep quality for people with mild sleep apnea. Researchers at Johns Hopkins will enroll 100 adults who snore and have a bed partner to report on their snoring. Participants will use the tape to encourage nasal breathing, which may keep the airway open and reduce snoring.
