First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study tests whether injections of donated fat-derived stem cells around the mouth can reduce fibrosis and improve mouth function in people with systemic sclerosis. About 50 adults with limited mouth opening and significant mouth handicap will receive either stem cells or a placebo. The main goal is to see if the treatment improves mouth-related quality of life after 12 weeks.
