New tool aims to improve mouth care for ICU patients on ventilators

Summary
This study is creating and testing a new tool to assess the mouth condition of intensive care patients who have a breathing tube. Currently, there is no specific tool for these patients, even though mouth problems can affect recovery. The study will involve 500 adults in the ICU to see how well the new tool works.
