Mind over matter: can imagining movements improve prosthetic arm control?
NCT ID NCT06541379
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study looks at how well people with below-elbow amputations can imagine movements and whether that skill helps them use their myoelectric prosthetic arm more effectively. Researchers will compare 30 amputees with a control group of non-amputees using questionnaires and mental rotation tests. The goal is to understand the link between motor imagery, arm function, and body awareness.
