Can a chat stop cavities? new study tests talk therapy for teens with braces
NCT ID NCT07164989
Summary
This study is testing whether a supportive counseling method called motivational interviewing can help teenagers with braces take better care of their teeth and gums. About 50 teens aged 14-19 will have brief, encouraging conversations with dental professionals to help them set their own goals for brushing and flossing. Researchers will compare their oral health after six months to teens who receive standard dental hygiene instructions.
