First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study looked at what happens when mothers and their newborns go home earlier than usual after childbirth. Researchers followed 177 mother-newborn pairs for one month after leaving the hospital to see if any complications occurred. The goal was to understand if early discharge, based on national guidelines, is safe and how it affects breastfeeding and hospital readmissions.
