First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This phase II trial is testing the safety and effectiveness of combining two drugs, mosunetuzumab and pirtobrutinib, in 25 adults with relapsed or refractory Waldenstrom Macroglobulinemia, a rare blood cancer. Participants must have had at least one prior treatment. The study aims to find the best dose and see how well the combination shrinks tumors.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
mosunetuzumab and pirtobrutinib
What this could lead to
If successful, this combination could offer a new treatment option for patients with Waldenstrom Macroglobulinemia whose cancer has returned or stopped responding to prior therapy.
What could go wrong
This is an early phase II trial with only 25 participants, so results may not apply to all patients. The combination may cause side effects or not work better than existing treatments.
