Summary
This study tested a method to control diseases like dengue, Zika, and chikungunya by releasing male mosquitoes that have been treated so they cannot reproduce. Over 15,000 people in Merida, Mexico took part. The goal was to reduce the number of disease-carrying mosquitoes and lower infection rates.
