This study looked at over 93,000 people diagnosed with gastrointestinal carcinoid tumors between 2000 and 2022. Researchers used a large cancer database to calculate how many patients died from their cancer versus other causes. The goal was to fill gaps in knowledge about long-term survival for these rare, slow-growing tumors.
