Skin gel offers hope for agony of radiation burns

NCT ID NCT07207889

Summary

This study looked back at medical records to see if a morphine gel applied directly to the skin helped relieve severe pain from radiation burns (radiodermatitis) in the pelvic area. It involved 17 adult cancer patients whose pain wasn't controlled by regular pain pills. The main goal was to see if the gel reduced patients' self-reported pain levels.
