Can happy memories help break the cycle of meth addiction?

NCT ID NCT06410196

Summary

This study is testing if improving a person's mood can help them make better decisions during recovery from methamphetamine addiction. Researchers will have 80 adults in treatment recall positive or neutral memories and then measure changes in their mood, brain activity, and choices in computer games. The goal is to see if feeling better reduces the pull of drug-related rewards and helps people focus on healthier options.
