Emergency room study aims to fix teeth and troubles

NCT ID NCT05688982

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 39 times

Summary

This study looks at whether giving emergency room patients with dental problems extra help—like lists of nearby dentists and social services, or even a navigator to assist them—can increase the number of people who actually go to a dental appointment. About 2,900 adults with unmet dental needs will be split into three groups, each receiving a different level of support. The goal is to see which approach works best for connecting people to dental care.
