First seen Apr 07, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study looks at whether the small composite attachments used with clear aligners cause more gum inflammation around back teeth in teenagers. Researchers will collect fluid from the gums of 30 teens wearing clear aligners—half with attachments and half without—and measure inflammatory markers. The goal is to understand the biological impact of attachments on gum health.
