Summary
This study is testing a new strategy to manage severe infections like sepsis. It uses rapid tests to identify the specific germ causing the infection and its antibiotic resistance much faster than standard methods. The goal is to help doctors prescribe the most effective antibiotic sooner, potentially improving patient outcomes and reducing unnecessary use of broad-spectrum antibiotics.
