New oxygen device aims to keep patients breathing during critical lung procedure
NCT ID NCT05759832
Summary
This study tested a modified nasal oxygen device designed to help patients with serious breathing problems safely undergo a lung exam called bronchoscopy. The goal was to see if this device could better support patients' breathing during the procedure, reducing the need for more aggressive breathing support afterward. Researchers compared the modified device to standard oxygen methods in 160 hospitalized patients.
