Custom 3D-Printed plate shows promise for jaw fracture repair

Summary
This study tested a new, custom-designed omega-shaped bone plate made with 3D printing against standard titanium plates for fixing broken jaws in the chin area. Twelve adults were randomly assigned to receive either the custom plate or the standard plates. Researchers checked healing, pain, swelling, and nerve function for six months after surgery.
