Moderna tests First-Ever mRNA shot against 'Mononucleosis' virus

Summary
This is the first human study of Moderna's experimental mRNA vaccine designed to protect against Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), which causes mononucleosis and is linked to several cancers. The trial will test the vaccine's safety and how well it triggers an immune response in 482 healthy adults aged 18-55. Researchers will give different doses to see which is safest and most effective at producing protective antibodies.
