Summary
This study aimed to test the safety and effectiveness of Moderna's updated COVID-19 vaccine (mRNA-1273.214) in very young infants, aged 12 weeks to under 6 months. It planned to compare the babies' immune responses to those seen in adults from a previous study. However, the trial was stopped early after the initial phase because the data did not support moving forward with testing for effectiveness; no safety concerns were identified.
